What is the difference between a visible dimension of diversity and an invisible one?

We all are made up of both visible and invisible dimensions, unique to who we are.

Visible dimensions may be your eye color, race, height, hair type.

Invisible dimensions of diversity emanate from our intersectionalities.

They can include race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, religion, ability, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and national origin.

They can also include disabilities, some of which are invisible to others, and they’re equally important to acknowledge as the visible ones.
